Gorgeous backyard seating, but beware of mosquitos in late August! We came for the smoked spaghetti aglio olio and it exceeded expectations! We loved all our appetizers - croquette special (oxtail ragu pasta filling), broccolini, polipo (cooked to perfection and not at all chewy). But the star was the stracciatella which paired beautifully with the complimentary focaccia (I had to force myself to stop eating it to save room for the entrees). For entrees, the smoked spaghetti was the star and it was surprisingly not too smoky (for context, I don't typically like mezcal but I do love bacon). Meanwhile, I thought the eggplant ravioli and sausage orecchiette were good but paled in comparison to the smoked spaghetti. We loved the variety and creativity of the drinks, but the tomato melon sorbet with olive oil dessert really shone through with its unique combination of ingredients. While it's hard to say if it's objectively a perfect dessert, I could not stop eating bite after bite, so that says something!

What a great place! I'm so happy I found it because it's a perfect combination of great food, cozy ambiance and very friendly service. Honestly I think this is the most friendly and welcoming place I've been to. I wasn't too hungry so I only got lasagna but it was absolutely delicious and now I can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

Great good. Great service. The outside seating was a little stinky, but that's difficult to avoid during a New York summer.

From the moment we stepped into La Rina, we were treated to a truly exceptional dining experience. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made us feel special by securing a premier table in their charming garden, which set the perfect mood for the evening. We started with a bottle of chilled red, expertly recommended by our server, who even let us taste it before committing. It was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious -- the perfect complement to the meal. The food at La Rina is nothing short of spectacular. We began with the grilled broccolini with prosciutto and Italian XO sauce, a fresh and flavorful dish that was both light, satisfying, and unlike anything i have ever tasted (in a good way!). The special tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and braised wagyu was divine -- the rich mushroom and beef flavors perfectly balanced, and the pasta had an incredible chew that only enhanced the dish. We also indulged in their lasagna, which was cheesy, creamy, and downright amazing. Truly one of the best I have had in the city. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, La Rina exceeded all of our expectations. We will definitely be back!
